Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Black and Gold

By Marla
In celebration of the Pittsburgh Pirates winning baseball season, I thought a black and gold color scheme would be the inspiration to this blog post. In Pittsburgh, a lot of people want to stay away from combining the colors black and gold on their special day because they believe guests will link it to the city's team colors. However, when arranged in the right way black and gold can be a very glamorous color palette. In the pictures below it shows a few different ways to style your wedding with this color theme. For an antique look add lace with darker brushed gold accents, and use black to make the gold pop... If you want a more traditional theme, keep it simple with stripes and bright gold accessories. Both of these looks are elegantly paired together in black and gold. Both settings are warm, welcoming, chic, and perfect for a fall season wedding. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Out Of The Blue

By Marla
This is a perfect table setting for an outside wedding. The table cloths display a beautiful blue and white country pattern print which allows the dishware to stand out. As you can see in the pictures, it looks beautiful when you mix the different prints. The trick for having all the patterns mesh so well is to keep with the same color palette. This is a unique and elegant presentation that guests of the wedding will surely love! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | I'm Seeing Stripes

By Marla
Having a patterned table cloth will certainly have you stand out from the crowd. It's far from traditional but it's the latest trend for weddings of 2013! There are many patterns to choose from, however stripes seem to be the favored pattern.  The color that I personally favor are black and white. A black and white striped table pattern is a classic look that can be spruced up with bright colored accents such as pink! This is also a great way to portray a Parisian theme. If you are looking for a more nautical look, navy and white are another choice. Using a striped pattern is far from traditional but absolutely chic! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Bow-Tie Napkins

by Nicole
Looking for a way to jazz up your table setting? Add a bow! Folding a napkin into a bow is simple yet unique, and will surely make an impression on your guests. Follow the below step-by-step instructions to learn how to. Be inspired.

1. starting with the napkin face down, fold the top and bottom edges in to meet at the middle;
2. then fold those top and bottom edges in again to meet at the middle;
3. finally, fold the long edges into the middle so they slightly overlap;
4. t
urn the napkin over and tie a ribbon, string, or twist tie around the middle, cinching it tight to create the bow. Fold and fluff as necessary.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Table Settings To Die For

By Julie

These table settings scream elegance for this fall!  Using dark royal colors mixed with gold accents makes your wedding fit for a queen.  We love the stripped linens that add even more class to the table.  Keep in mind that if you’re going all out on the plates, napkins, and silverware, the centerpieces shouldn’t be extravagant.  Keep them simple!  Be inspired.
