Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Floral Friday

by Nicole
It's Floral Friday and this time we're not talking about centerpieces, but rather some flower power for the hair! Flower crowns are being seen everywhere, and bohemian inspired brides are bringing out their inner flower child by using them instead of the traditional veil. This whimsical look is simply stunning for any outdoor wedding. The crowns can be made with basically any flower as a DIY project or by a florist. They are certainly a cheaper alternative to the veil but just as equally beautiful. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Wedding Pockets

by Nicole
Believe it or not, but functionality is in this season! Simple pockets on the side of a wedding dress can be used to store your vowels, lipstick, or for those tear jerking moments – your tissues. That's right, put the clutch down, because pockets are hot! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Puzzle Guest Book

by Nicole
Throw away that traditional guest book and use puzzle pieces instead! Purchase a plain white puzzle and have each guest write their name on the individual pieces. Put it together after your wedding and frame the completed puzzle. It makes for a great decoration in your house and a constant reminder of who attended your wedding. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Blinged-Out Bouquets

by Nicole
Wedding bouquets can turn out to be beautiful, and are in fact one of the most photographed items of your wedding. However, if you are not the typical bride then you need a not-so-typical bouquet. Instead, walk down the aisle with a gorgeous jeweled bouquet. They are everlasting, sophisticated, and will make you stand out on your big day. Just don't be surprised if guests are snapping pictures all night of your blinged-out bouquet! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Footwork Friday

By Marla
This is one of my new favorite wedding trends of 2013. Bows! These chic wedding pumps are beautifully decorated with an adorable bow on the back of the heel. It almost gives the shoe an old fashion look too it. It reminds me of something Marie Antoinette would wear! These classic looking shoes will be a perfect fit on a special day. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Carnations Galore

By Marla
Just when you thought carnations were old fashion, think again! Bunching carnations together make a perfect centerpiece or bouquet. Carnations come in an array of colors to fit in with any theme. Also, carnations are very budget friendly. Pricing per stem ranges from .35-.50. There are lots of different ways to present this flower. One way could be bunched together in a ball or square, used as a centerpiece, for the flowers girl, mixed in bouquets, or beautifully placed on the wedding cake. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Happy Tears

By Marla
Being at a wedding ceremony can be very emotional. It is definitely a heart filled moment when two people claim their love for each other. It is not uncommon to bring the guests to tears. This is a great to help out your guests with their happy tears! By purchasing beautiful handkerchief you can offer them to guests in either a basket, in the invitation, the ceremony program, or hang them on display so guests can grab them as needed. Delicate handkerchief such as you see in these pictures are a great way to add a special touch to your wedding. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | I'm Seeing Stripes

By Marla
Having a patterned table cloth will certainly have you stand out from the crowd. It's far from traditional but it's the latest trend for weddings of 2013! There are many patterns to choose from, however stripes seem to be the favored pattern.  The color that I personally favor are black and white. A black and white striped table pattern is a classic look that can be spruced up with bright colored accents such as pink! This is also a great way to portray a Parisian theme. If you are looking for a more nautical look, navy and white are another choice. Using a striped pattern is far from traditional but absolutely chic! Be inspired.
