Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Unique Dance Floors

By: Meredith

One of SHE’s favorite parts of a wedding reception is when everyone gets up off their seats and busts a move on the dance floor.  It’s a symbol of celebration for the newly married, and what cooler way to break it down, than on a custom dance floor.  A few examples of custom dance floors include the newly marrieds name etched or shown onto the floor by an overhead light.  A few other ideas include, having every other tile a different color, made with glitter, or incorporating the theme of your wedding onto your dance floor.  Being creative with your dance floor is a great way to get your guests off their seats and ready to hit the floor, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good dance party!  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Princess Diana

By: Meredith

Today, our Woman Crush Wednesday is the ever beautiful Princess Diana, and it just so happens this week marks the 33rd anniversary of her wedding to Charles, the Prince of Wales.  This wedding was the largest royal event of its time.  Over 3,500 people attended the ceremony with hundreds of thousands more lining the streets of London, and millions of people watching on television from all around the world.  Princess Diana’s wedding dress was unlike any other wedding dress and will never be forgotten. It was made of silk taffeta, and was hand embroidered with lace, sequins, and 10,000 pearls, and had a gorgeous 25 foot train made of ivory taffeta and antique lace.  The most unique part of Princess Diana’s dress was the small 18 carat gold and diamond horseshoe sewn into her dress for good luck.  Always a trendsetter, Princess Diana makes the perfect Woman Crush Wednesday.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Bridal Hairstyles

By: Meredith

One of the first things a bride does on her wedding day is get her hair done.  Depending on the bride and the style of her dress, her hair can be fashioned in a number of styles.  The classic low bun is always an elegant look and can be played up with different braids or twisted strands of hair.  If the bride chooses to have her hair down, she could accessorize with a headband, or a few flowers placed in her hair.  Another look to choose from is a vintage hairstyle, with either large curls, or a look that is pinned back.  Whichever style the bride chooses, we here at SHE know she will look absolutely stunning on her special day.  Be inspired!

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Save the Date

By: Meredith

Save the Date Cards are widely becoming more and more creative.  The newly engaged are straying away from the simple card and envelope stating when and where their wedding is, and instead creating unique picture reminders for their upcoming nuptials.  For example, numerous couples have a small photo shoot in order to create their Save the Date Cards.  The final result of these photos is a unique and special reminder of the love these couples share for one another and their wish that you join them in their day of celebration.  Be inspired!

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Footwork Friday

By: Katie

This week's Footwork Friday is aimed mostly towards your guests. The fancy heels are only fun for so long, and usually not when it's time to dance. Putting together a basket with some flip flops and a cute saying gives guests the option to take a pair and be more comfortable and more likely to dance. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Popping the Question.. To Your Bridesmaids

By: Katie

When asking your best girls to play such a special part in the best day of your life, popping the question should be special as well. Things like puzzles and crossword puzzles are a fun challenge for your bridesmaid, while popping balloons and receiving survival kits are a quicker, yet still fun way to get your message across. Whichever way you do it, your bridesmaids will be thrilled. Be inspired.
