After your wedding is over, you don’t want to forget any of the memories. Some newlyweds keep their wedding cards in a plastic container that they never look at again.  So instead, why not make a DIY wedding card album that you will actually want to look at!  A lot of love notes and words of advice are written in wedding cards from guests. It’s a cute way to preserve those words of wisdom is one place.  Follow the link to create you own wedding card album! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Dramatic Drapes

By Julie

Whoever would have though a piece of pretty fabric could make such a dramatic impact on a space?  Having large draperies in entryways at your ceremony or reception gives the area such a romantic vibe.  The drapes grab the attention of your guests letting them know they are about to attend a spectacular event.  Don’t limit yourself to only having solid colored fabric; you could spice it up with subtle patterns too!  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Memorial Day Military Inspiration

By Julie

Happy Memorial Day!  Today we wanted to feature this beautiful military inspired wedding.  The bride chose pink and yellow as her colors instead of the traditional red, white, and blue.  A perfect example that you don’t have to stick to traditional colors if that’s not you and your hubby’s style.  The bride and groom made a quick trip to the DC Metro for their photo shoot. This was such a cute idea; we just had to show you! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Sentimental Bouquets

By Julie

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…what will you be carrying with you on your wedding day?  Carrying something meaningful in your bouquet is a great way to remember a loved one or an cherished memory.  Brides have been known to carry rosaries, cameos, lockets, and even their mother or grandmother’s wedding dress sleeves on the stems of their bouquets.  Something so little can have such a big impact that day :) Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Unique Unity Concepts

By Julie

Getting married is all about uniting as one, but some couples take the extra step by partaking in a Unity Ceremony.  Don’t save all the fun elements for your reception, use some at your ceremony!  These ceremonies range from your traditional candle lighting to a unique wine lock box ceremony.  Another one we liked is the painting ceremony.  You and your husband will create a picture together that you will always cherish. Be inspired.

The groom’s shoes…another pair of shoes to think about for the big day.  You don’t want him to have cold feet before the wedding, so be sure to help him find the perfect pair.  Even if he is not the most fashion savvy guy, let him have an opinion of what he is going to be wearing on his wedding day.  Let his personality shine, whether he is a laid back guy or a shiny shoe type of guy!  Be inspired.
