Monique Péan caught our attention when we learned that she
decided to create her own line of eco-friendly rings after hearing of the
wasted materials that result from making gold engagement rings. Using leftover
materials and diamonds taken from antique rings, she designed her own line
called Minéraux. She is even donating 5% of proceeds to the National Center for Transgender Equality
and the NYC LGBT Community Center until June 30, 2014 to celebrate
Massachusetts legalizing gay marriage.
Monique Péan said, "I’m really able to make beautiful things that
hopefully will last for generations to come, but I am also able to give back,
and I am thankful to be able to do that." Be inspired.
