Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - New Starbucks Mugs

How many of you got your coffee fix this morning?  Yesterday, big news arose from the coffee industry, specifically Starbucks.  They have joined in collaboration with the brand, Band of Outsiders, to create two new designer ceramic coffee mugs, available today, in America and Canada.  Founder of Band of Outsiders, Scott Sternberg, created the idea and CEO of the CFDA, Steven Kolb, captured the image and put it to action.  The design is inspired by Sternberg's slang word for coffee, "drip" and is available in two different styles, a black and white and a multicolored drip mug.  Sternberg and his dog, General Zod created a photo shoot yesterday to showcase the mugs, and the pictures are so adorable that we here at {SHE} can't wait to get our hands on these fashionable mugs!  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - SHE Weddings

Happy Monday from the ladies at SHE!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend; we have been super busy with two fabulous weddings!  Our first wedding was in celebration of Nicole and Chris, and was held at the Omni William Penn.  The reception was so beautiful and simply chic!  Our second wedding was held at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and was a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony and reception for Tiffany and Jimil!  Each wedding had amazing flowers, color accents, and of course beautiful brides and grooms.  On behalf of SHE, we would like to congratulate Nicole and Chris, and Tiffany and Jimil and wish them a lifetime of happiness and love.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Footwork Friday

Your wedding day should be about you, and act as a reflection of yourself from your head to your toes.  A simple way to express yourself is to customize your shoes.  Instead of wearing plain white shoes that match your dress, consider decorating the exterior of your shoes, or writing a quote or the words I Do on the soles of your shoes.  This is a small, creative way to personalize your wedding day, and who wouldn't want to show off their customized shoes later on the dance floor!  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Sparkler Send Off

A Send Off is an old tradition for weddings, and what better way to capture the magic of your wedding day than with a Sparkler Send Off!  For those who have never heard or seen a Sparkler Send Off, it's when all of the wedding guests line up, create a walkway for the newly married, light their sparkler sticks, and watch as the newly married couple make their way through the tunnel of light.  We here at SHE have seen a few Sparkler Send Offs, and must say, they are very beautiful and truly capture the magic and love of your special day.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner- Pop of Color

We love to see colorful weddings, especially in the summer.  One way to brighten up your special day is to have the bridesmaids in different colored dresses!  The dresses could be completely different colors, or each a different shade of one color.  Either way, the groomsmen could match in different colored vests, ties, bowties, shoes, etc.  It's a unique way to throw some color into your ceremony and it makes for beautiful photos!  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - CFDA Awards

Last night was the Council of Fashion Designers of America 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards.  This annual event recognizes contributions made to American fashion from numerous industries and the arts.  Examples of awards given out last night include Womanswear Designer of the Year, Menswear Designer of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year, CFDA Instagrammer of the Year, and most importantly, the Fashion Icon Award.  Past winners of this award include, Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Iman, Nicole Kidman, and Johnny Depp.  This year's recipient of the Fashion Icon Award was Rihanna, whose style has made an incredible impact on pop culture as well as on an international level.  Rihanna has made numerous contributions to the fashion world, as well as through her partnership with MAC AIDS Fund's Viva Glam Campaign.  On behalf of {SHE}, we would like to congratulate Rihanna, and all the winners last night.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Destination Weddings..From Home

Now that we've entered the summer months, a vacation getaway is on everyone's mind.  Also, with Kim and Kanye's recent wedding abroad, we here at SHE began to think a lot about destination weddings.  As wonderful as it would be to have one's wedding in Florence like Kim and Kanye, a destination wedding may be out of a lot of our price ranges.  However, that doesn't mean you can't create your own destination wedding right from your home.  Look below for some ideas on how to create a dream destination wedding without moving an inch.  Be inspired.
