Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Destination Weddings..From Home
By: Meredith Kearns
Now that we've entered the summer months, a vacation getaway is on everyone's mind. Also, with Kim and Kanye's recent wedding abroad, we here at SHE began to think a lot about destination weddings. As wonderful as it would be to have one's wedding in Florence like Kim and Kanye, a destination wedding may be out of a lot of our price ranges. However, that doesn't mean you can't create your own destination wedding right from your home. Look below for some ideas on how to create a dream destination wedding without moving an inch. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | D - I - Why Knot String Art
By Marla
Incorporating these string woven boards is the latest trend of decoration for weddings. This project can be done with any word, name, saying, or symbol! Most of the items needed for this DIY project can be found at your local arts and crafts store. You can choose any color yarn or string you'd like. I would recommend using your wedding color palette! The wooden planks or a hard surface board can either be found at a hardware store... depending on what you're looking for. This can be used for the table numbers, to highlight the guest sign-in book, at the head table, and as a keepsake at the new love birds home! Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Aisle Decor
By Marla
This is a great DIY project to decorate the aisle with. By using planks of wood and paint you simply write what you want. In the picture below they used 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 from the Bible. However, you could use your favorite quote, song lyrics, poems etc. And if you really want to be creative with this project you could always use different calligraphy fonts to make it look more formal. This project can be used to add a sentimental touch to your special day. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Wedding Balloons
by Nicole
Party all night in style with these below balloon ideas. By adding your own personal touch to your wedding balloons, you can take any normal balloon and make it a statement piece. Instead of using a normal ribbon try garland for a bohemian look or tulle and flowers for a more feminine look. You can also cover the balloons in a fabric that matches your other wedding decor. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Real Wedding + Classic Ballroom Beauty
By Shayla
We are getting more and more photos from our 2012 couples and are so excited to share them over the next several weeks!!! Lauren and Dave had a classic summer wedding. This adorable lawyer-duo were a pleasure to work with! The overall design was elegant and classic which was very important to the couple. We didn't want to compete with the rich, natural aesthetic of the ballroom so we went with whites, ivory, and champagnes which complimented perfectly! Check out the beautiful photos captured by Elizabeth Vincent Photography!
Special thanks to all of the wonderful vendors that made this day perfect for Lauren and Dave!
