Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Footwork Friday

*By: Hope*        When it comes to shoes for the wedding, the groom and his guys are looking for comfort over style. A comfy alternative to wearing dress shoes is rocking chucks with your tux! Converse offers so many different choices such as traditional black and white, high top or low, or a splash of color. Choose what Converse works best with the overall theme of the wedding and outfit of the groomsmen. These also make a great groomsmen gift if the groom chooses to buy them for his guys! Be Inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner- Looks For Your Groom

*by: Hope*   Listen up grooms, this is your time to shine! Because we all know there is nothing {SHE} loves more than a stylish looking groom waiting for her at the end of the aisle. We have built four stylish categories that will inspire any groom.

1. The Formal Groom- The formal look is comprised of a tuxedo, cummerbund or vest, and a bow tie. Add cufflinks and pocket silks to this look to really make it your own!

A white dinner jacket is definitely a show stopper, and will compliment the bride wonderfully.

2. The Modern Groom- Start this look off with a tailored suit and new dress shoes. Get creative by mixing patterns and colors that compliment the color palette of your wedding.

3. The Casual Groom- No jacket, no problem. For a more casual wedding consider leaving the jacket behind and accenting the look with suspenders and patterns!

A matching vest really makes this outfit reusable after the wedding!

4. The Beach Groom- Stick with light weight fabrics like linen to really keep you cool on the big day.

When it comes to shoes go barefoot, sandals, or a canvas shoe. Either way make sure you will be comfortable on the hot sand!

Boutonnieres are generally are the same at any wedding. One rose on the grooms jacket. But there is so much more out there. In the bridal bouquet there is an assortment of different types of flowers, so why not for a groom? These boutonnieres are so unique. From the color choice, the chosen flower, and even the shape of the boutonniere is unique. Boutonnieres like these will really make the groom stand out. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Groomsmen Gifts

By Marla
It almost always seems like a necessity to give a gift to the bridesmaids, but don't forget about the groomsmen! Figuring out what you want to give the groomsmen as a gift maybe challenging because of their different personalities. In the picture below, this pairs the perfect little bundled present. It seems like most men can agree on their love for cigars and whiskey. Gifting a small flask along with the alcohol, or a mixer for their drink is something the bridal party can enjoy before or after the wedding... hopefully after! Lastly, purchasing their tie that will be worn for the wedding is always a nice touch. Give the groomsmen something you know they could all enjoy. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Boutonniere Trends

By Julie

On your big day you want your man to look his best standing next to you.  His boutonnière should tie into your bouquet, so you want it to look as fabulous on him as it does in your hands.  A few recent trends in boutonnières are ranging from cotton, feathers, buttons, and even antique keys.  Try to incorporate these new fun ideas into his wardrobe!  Be inspired.

P.S.  If you’re putting delicate flowers in his boutonnière, ask your florist to assemble a back up!  Some flowers can only handle so many hugs! :)
