Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Happy Anniversary Wiz & Amber

*By: Hope*     Pittsburgh native rapper Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose were married on 8/18/2013. As yesterday marked their one year anniversary, the couple shared inside pictures of the wedding that {SHE} has been anxiously waiting to see! Amber's first dress was a lace ruffled ball gown that fit her stunningly. Her second look was a much simpler fitted satin dress. Wiz impressed in a magenta coat, but later changed into a black coat. Congratulations Wiz & Amber, wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!  Be Inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Wedding Veils

By: Meredith

The wedding veil is one of the finishing touches on a beautiful bride, in that it pulls together the bride’s hair and headpiece.  This bridal accessory has a long history; the Romans thought the veil would ward off evil spirits from the bride, the Victorians used it as a status symbol, and in modern times we use the veil as a symbol that the groom has not seen his bride until the wedding.  No matter which tradition you are familiar with, veils are a beautiful accessory to any bride.  With numerous styles to choose from, a bride can’t go wrong.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Princess Diana

By: Meredith

Today, our Woman Crush Wednesday is the ever beautiful Princess Diana, and it just so happens this week marks the 33rd anniversary of her wedding to Charles, the Prince of Wales.  This wedding was the largest royal event of its time.  Over 3,500 people attended the ceremony with hundreds of thousands more lining the streets of London, and millions of people watching on television from all around the world.  Princess Diana’s wedding dress was unlike any other wedding dress and will never be forgotten. It was made of silk taffeta, and was hand embroidered with lace, sequins, and 10,000 pearls, and had a gorgeous 25 foot train made of ivory taffeta and antique lace.  The most unique part of Princess Diana’s dress was the small 18 carat gold and diamond horseshoe sewn into her dress for good luck.  Always a trendsetter, Princess Diana makes the perfect Woman Crush Wednesday.  Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner - Real Event | 1920's Speakeasy Wedding

*By: Hope*     Summer weddings are back in season! {SHE} kicked off it's first pittsburgh wedding of the season with a 1920's Speakeasy themed wedding.

All tables were named after influential people of that time period. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table named Bonnie & Clyde. Their card box was made of wood and had their name and date engraved into it. During cocktail hour they displayed their love story for all guests to see. As favors, the bride and groom made homemade moonshine to celebrate the world of underground drinking during prohibition.
{SHE}

Guests got involved with the "Keys to a Happy Marriage" activity. Guests were asked to write their advice on what makes a happy marriage and in it to the board for all the "keys" to be displayed.

For cocktail hour the guests were served cheese spreads with bread, pickled vegetables, and a variety of served appetizers. The bride then changed into a gorgeous all crystal gown for the reception.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planners | Celeb Gowns

By: Katie

We’ve all seen the pictures of the Kimye wedding posted from the Kardashians and even Kanye himself, but let’s take a moment to point out Kim’s gorgeous dress! The long-sleeved lace look is a popular choice for celebs’ wedding gowns because it has a vintage look to it. The lace top has also been seen as an open back or cut very low, giving the dress a little sexiness as well. Celebrities such as Kelly Clarkson, Nicole Richie, Grace Kelly, and Matthew McConaughey’s wife, Camila Alves, have worn lacey long-sleeved dresses similar to Kim’s. And of course, how can we forget royalty Kate Middleton’s fabulous dress back in 2011? Be inspired.
