Naked wedding cakes are my favorite wedding trend of this year. It is surely a way to stand out from the crowd. The traditional iced or fondant wedding cakes are beautiful, but a little change wouldn't hurt. Naked cakes give a more rustic chic or natural appearance with the exposed cake layers. In between the layers you can still add the filling of your choice such as fruit, jam, or both. Also, flowers can still be added so it will have that classic look. Naked cakes are without at doubt a little out of the ordinary but when the cake looks as appetizing as these pictures, why cover them with icing? Be inspired.
