Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Hydrangea Bouquet

By Marla
Hydrangeas are the perfect flower to use in a wedding bouquet or in the centerpieces of a wedding. They come in an array of water color shades which can go with any theme. Hydrangea is big bulb of multiple flowers on one stem and bunched together they create such a whimsical look and are easy on a budget. They can be mixed with other flowers such as roses, berries, peony, or go beautifully on their own in a bouquet. Usually hydrangea are used as a filler in arrangements but they are even more elegant as a wedding bouquet. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Footwork Friday

By Marla
What is more fabulous than Dolce & Gabbana? There is just something special about wearing a great heel made in Italy. It is romantic, sassy, and chic! This red hot look is definitely something that is out of the box for a wedding shoe, however for fall I think this pump would be a perfect fit. The 4" pointy toe, chic, lace stiletto will have guests heads turning once they glace at these! They are the Cinderella shoe with a twist. Be inspired.

Industrial Chic Style Shoot -- Pittsburgh Wedding Planner

{SHE} recently had the absolute amazing pleasure of working on the design of an Industrial Chic Style Shoot.  The main objective was utilizing the raw, unpolished elements you'd find in a warehouse setting, mixing metals and finishes and putting a chic, stylish spin on it by softening it with beautiful flowers and subtle pops of color. Be inspired.

Thank you to the following vendors who made this shoot possible:

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Geometirc Theme

By Marla
These geometric inpirations are far from formal but they are a bold statement that will have your guests talking. Yes, it's very different to have a centerpiece that is not made entirely from flowers... but this can save money on that aspect of your budget. Having a geometric theme is honestly a fun look. It's modern, chic, and colorful! This is the perfect theme where you can mix and match colors, shapes, and patterns to make the decor really stand out. It almost gives it a futuristic feel. Have fun with it. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Aisle Decor

By Marla
This is a great DIY project to decorate the aisle with. By using planks of wood and paint you simply write what you want. In the picture below they used 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 from the Bible. However, you could use your favorite quote, song lyrics, poems etc. And if you really want to be creative with this project you could always use different calligraphy fonts to make it look more formal. This project can be used to add a sentimental touch to your special day. Be inspired.

Let the traditional white pumps be in the past. These shoes are certainly out of the box when it comes to a wedding shoe. The color palette used on the shoe makes it stand out with the pops of multi colors. It's a little surprise under your sleeve that will catch the eyes of your guest. The best part about wearing a shoe like this is that you can wear it for other occasions. Be inspired.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Natural Beauty

By Marla
Incorporating natural cotton into the decor of your wedding is the latest trend for this fall. Cotton is such a simple look but when paired with flowers or bunched together, they make perfect accents for a wedding. The cotton looks great mixed in with pinecones and twigs. However, I think if they were matched with fall colored leaves and white flowers, it would really make a beautiful statement. Whether your wedding theme is casual or formal, these cozy puffs can really stand out. Be inspired.

Now that fall is approaching, a pumpkin patch themed wedding is the perfect match for the season. How many times have you heard of a pumpkin patch wedding? Autumn is filled with warm colors from the changing leaves which accents a special day perfectly. Also adding pops of bright bold colors such as yellows or chartreuse are very chic. And if your wedding date is before Halloween, having your guest pick and take home a pumpkin that they can later carve is a great favor to give. This is such a unique setting to have a wedding take place. Be inspired.
